On the evening of Wednesday 23rd of August we set out to hit the tracks of Yalwal, NSW. A little past 8pm on the Maroondah HWY outside of Yark the 80 series decided that we weren’t going anywhere.
With the help of RACV Roadside Assist the car got picked up and taken to the depot. Thursday morning the big girl was delivered back home and placed safely in the shed.
We decided that no matter what the gang was still going away, it was organised that Sam Squared would do a car swap and borrow the parents reliable 100 series and meet the boys in Rainbow for a Big Dessert Trip.
The weather turned it on while we were here, with beautiful sunshine during the day - it was definitely t-shirt and shorts weather! We only had a little drama on this trip that included James constantly being stressed about fuel and us chasing servo stations & Brad had a little issue with a hose after getting out of a bog hole at the end of Boarder Track but nothing duck tape couldn’t fix for a little while.
It was a great week away, even after how it all started, we are just happy that the 6 of us got to go somewhere and take a break from busy life. Thank you to Bryn, Chalkley, James & Brad we had a awesome trip with you blokes. A massive thank you to Girl Sam’s Dad for letting us borrow the car!
