Christmas & New Years Trip

This is just a glimpse of our holiday through the Victorian High Country and out on to the Ovens River down to Beechworth for New Years. We started our high country at a beautiful watering hole where we chilled out until we decided to start 4wdriving and touring through the VHC. We started our trip entering from Bairnsdale heading towards Crooked River. Of course we did one of my personal favourites tracks Crooked River Track where we went through heaps of river crossings with beautiful views. We tried to go exploring to find some lookouts and helipads but on nearly five or six tracks we hit dead ends, where the track just disappeared or the turnoff was never there after. It got very frustrating but we still got to camp in some very nice flats. We went over the top of the Dargo High Plains Rd - definitely enjoining the dust in the non air conditioned vehicle. Visited many watering holes in Harrietville, Bright, Myrtleford, Beechworth and Alans Flat only getting a little sunburnt along the way.

We would like to say a massive thanks to Brad & James who shared their cars with us for an entire week, as that’s a huge ask. So thank you for a great trip and New Years!
